Ramón 'Monchito' Marrero mixed the first official Piña Colada at the Caribe Hilton. Ours is shaken, not slushy — coconut cream, fresh pineapple and a blend of white and gold rum — so it drinks like a cocktail, not a dessert.

Ingredients
- White rum40 ml
- Gold rum20 ml
- Pineapple juice60 ml
- Coconut cream30 ml
- Lime10 ml
Method
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain over pebble ice. Garnish with pineapple and a cherry.
Flavour: Coconut, ripe pineapple, soft rum.
